September 23: SongSpace is excited to welcome Boston-based Antje Duvekot (http://www.antjeduvekot.com/) back to our stage! Winner of many prestigious awards for singer/songwriters, international touring performer Antje Duvekots music and performances are funny, tender, perceptive and inviting. Opening the evening is Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Kayla Schureman (https://www.kaylaschureman.com/), whose music is a windows-down, whatever the weather, drive through the americana soundscape.
November 4: Toronto-based americana husband and wife duo The Young Novelists (Graydon James & Laura Spink' http://theyoungnovelists.com/) are known for their beautiful harmonies and songs culled from their small-town roots. After the release of their second full-length album "made us strangers", they've been touring Canada and the US relentlessly, earning accolades wherever they go. The Squirrel Hillbillies (http://www.squirrelhillbillies.com/) will be opening the night with their eclectic repertoire of acoustic folk, country and blues.
January 27: "BurghSongSpace" is a collaboration between two successful grassroots music series in Pittsburgh, BurghSong (http://burghsong.com/) and SongSpace (http://uusongspace.com/). Pittsburgh favorites Christopher Mark Jones, Heather Kropf, Ben Shannon, Emily Pinkerton and Brad Yoder will be joining forces to warm a winters eve for you!
March 3: Johnson City, Tennessees Amythyst Kiah (http://amythystkiah.com/) has a commanding stage presence, matched only by her raw and powerful vocals. Provocative and coolly fierce, Amythyst Kiah's ability to cross the boundaries of blues and old-time through reinterpretation is groundbreaking and simply unforgettable.
May 5: Rachael Kilgour (https://www.rachaelkilgour.com/) returns to Pittsburgh to round out the SongSpace season, almost a year after performing here in the BurghSong series. Rachael is a Minnesota-born, Boston-based songwriter and performing artist whose sincere, lyric-driven work has been called both brave and humane.
