Saturday Night Dance with the Hot Frittatas!
Northern California's liveliest ensemble The Hot Frittatas play international café music, specializing in late 19th /early 20th Century Italian, Sicilian, and French instrumental music for your dancing or listening pleasure.
Consisting of fiddle, mandolin, accordian, guitar and cello, master musicians Gus Garelick, Don Coffin, Gail Sharpsteen and Dennis Hadley have re-invented the 19th century Ballo Liscio style to a more contemporary sound, melding together the traditional tarantellas, waltzes, mazurkas and polksa with French musette tunes, tangos, marches, Gypsy Jazz, and more. What a great way to kick off our Saturday Night Dance Series!
