Elizabeth Berg and Denise Norton Present: Cooking Up a Story
A writing and cooking class (includes dinner) on the same day! The writing class will offer a talk on how to write quickly and effectively by Elizabeth Berg, who has published 22 novels, two collections of short stories, and four works of non-fiction. You will hear about where inspiration comes from, how to create rich characters, what makes for good dialogue, the importance of place, some thoughts about plot, and how to put pen to paper and not look up! Our goal is for you to end up with a completed rough draft of a short story or essay in one day.
