2018 Basic Beekeeping
Beekeeping can be a fascinating hobby, a profitable sideline or a full-time occupation. This class is all about beekeeping and is designed to help hobbyists become successful beekeepers focusing on honey bee biology, how to get started, and how to manage bee colonies. Sections include information on the colony and its organization, beekeeping equipment, how to start with bees, colony management, how to manage maladies, honey production and processing, pollination, and more.
Our first instructional class is February 10, 2018 (9am-5pm) A second instructional class on February 24, 2018 (9am-5pm)
Once you've completed your in-classroom class on either Feb 10 or 24, there will be a package installation demonstration day on April 14 and three additional Field Days as a part of your training. The Field Day dates are: May 5, June 2 and July 7 Field Day times will be assigned at registration
