Social Dance Class: The 1930s
[To clarify: THIS IS A DANCE CLASS, NOT A MUSICAL EVENT. This class is presented in partnership with (and as preparation for) the "Dance Through the Decades: The 1930's" LIVE MUSIC EVENT on October 28th with The Recession Seven. We thought it would be fun to offer dance classes in the style of the era (for those who would like to learn some basic steps) the week before presenting the live music event.]
Learn social dances from the 1930s in this fun Sunday evening class, taught to recorded music. Your instructor will be Allen Desterhaft, an internationally acclaimed Ballroom dancer and teacher with over 20 years of professional experience.
Check out the video link. You might not be Ricardo Montalban, Lana Turner or Rita Moreno ... but it's fun to pretend, isn't it?
People who attend this dance class will receive a $5 discount toward our "Dance Through the Decades" event the following Saturday where they can try out their new skills and strut their stuff on the Studio5 dance floor to the live music of "The Recession Seven"!
Free parking right outside!
[NOTE: ONLINE TICKET SALES END ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. REMAINING TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.]
