Event
The Channels, Arkm Foam, Noise Nomads, Kate Village
Noise and rock. Celebrated separately, turbulent together. Thats how we like it! So we certainly like The Channels prepared-guitar heavy, hook-laden compositions which are so deep they're closer to ditches than grooves. This band of tenured Boston-area players are unleashing their most far out record to date this evening so we thought it best to pair them up with some true New England noise royalty. But honestly, we might be setting them up to fail because we were able to attract some serious HEADS of the genre to this turbulent typhoon. Compared to the gnarly noise overload of fabled faultfinder Noise Nomads and the vehement feedback of dog-lover Kate Village, almost anyone would sound like a docile rottweiler. Not Arkm Foam tho.. Hell just pretend to be an actual puppy - so convincingly that even the most hardened weirdos will be intriguingly estranged by his freakish physical-space play and subtle performance-art spewing hand-held cassette deck drivel. Join us for this convention-dismissing pissing contest in a Caribbean Restaurant on McGrath Highway in Somerville. Sound weird? Good.
