Create & Make Workshop: Printmaking: Monotypes
Teaching Artist: Chris Kroehler
The technique of printing monotypes will be explored. Prints will be made by painting on plexiglass using ink/oil paint then pressed by hand onto sheets of paper. Stencils, watercolor, solvents, brushes, and other tools will be used to embellish the monotype prints. Students will learn that monoprinting is a form of printmaking that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking techniques, where multiple prints can be pulled.
