Ben Bochner w/special guest, David Jacobs-Strain
There is no official bio available yet for Ben, so I will tell you what I know and why I booked this show. David Jacobs-Strain introduced me to Ben's songwriting, as David performs Ben's great baseball song, "Big League Dreams." Intrigued, I found more of Ben's music online. From what I heard, it quickly became evident that Ben is both a "songwriter's songwriter" and a fine performer in his own right. Originally from Chicago, Ben now lives and works in Eugene OR. While he does not often tour, the respect of industry and his peers is in clear evidence, having performed at SXSW, as well as sharing stages with the likes of Ellis Paul.
For anyone who is not familiar with David Jacobs-Strain, David is a prodigious young guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer. David recorded and produced Ben's latest album and will be "sittin' in" with Ben for this show, making this a very special night indeed.
