The First Thursday September 14th performance of Picasso at the Lapin Agile will be a benefit for the Willits PEO. To purchase tickets call Marilyn Harden at 459-5649. Ticket prices are $20 for Friday and Saturday performances and $15 for Thursday and Sunday performances for main stage productions. Advance tickets for all shows can be obtained in person at Mazahar, 38 S. Main St., Willits; online at brownpapertickets.com; or by phone 24/7 at 1-800-838-3006. Tickets will also available at the door for each show until sold out. For further information, contact the WCT office at 707-459-0895 or visit the theatre website at www.willitstheatre.org. The WCT playhouse is located at 37 W. Van Lane (behind Shanachie Pub). "Picasso at the Lapin Agile"  a Comedy by Steve Martin.

Martins febrile imagination runs rampant in this humorous yet semi-serious contemplation of Twentieth Century art, philosophy and science. Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein meet in a Paris café in 1904 to talk about their work. Towards the end of the play, they are joined by a special guest from their future  and our past  who is very good at saying, Thanyouvermuch. No one knows exactly what it means, and the atmosphere of the play ranges somewhere between the hilariously absurd and the absurdly hilarious. Directed by Jim Mastin, plays Sept. 8 through 24.
