Saxophonist and composer Chris Greene was born and grew up right here in Evanston. After graduating from the the University of Indiana Jazz Studies programhe returned to the Chicago area to pursue his career. He has performed with everyone from Common to The Temptations to Andrew Bird to the Mighty Blue Kings. He's also led his own group,with essentially the same lineup,for manyyears.His music is funky, soulful, surprising, engaging and fun, and Chris is works as hard as anyone I know to continue to make his art his career (and I mean that as a real compliment). We look forward to welcoming Chris for his debut performance at Studio5.
