Les Bostonades presents "Flautissimo!"
The first concert of Les Bostonades 2017-2018 season begins September 22nd with a program titled Flautissimo, featuring sonatas for the recorder and the traverse flute, known respectively as the flauto dolce and the flauto traverso in Italian, by several masters of the same generation Georg Philipp Telemann (16811767), Michel Blavet (17001768), and Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (16891755). Also on the program are a cello sonata and two cantatas for soprano, flute/recorder, and continuo by George Frideric Handel (16851759) and Antonio Vivaldi (16781741). Core members of Les Bostonades, Héloïse Degrugillier (flute & recorder) and Akiko Sato (harpsichord) will be joined by special guests Sarah Moyer (soprano) and Guy Fishman (cello).
