The Bugaboo Room - RHINOFEST 2013
BRUISED ORANGE THEATER COMPANY presents The Bugaboo Room Written by Clint Sheffer Directed by John Morrison
PD and Shasta LeDuc have lived their whole lives cloistered inside of a funeral home in Gary, Indiana. Their father, the proprietor of the interment business, has just passed away, and their less-than-sympathetic step mother wants to send them packing. This transition might be viewed as a healthy life choice for the grieving siblings, save the fact that the outside world of the late 21st century is a harrowing place, fraught with anthropomorphic robots, dangerous weather, and a new strain of squirrel pox. It's tough to face such a big, dark future when your past is so seemingly tiny and brightbut that's just exactly what PD and Shasta must do, even if it means summoning dead souls from an otherworldly cave with the aid of the embalming room's weirdest feature, The Bugaboo.
Performed by Kevin Alves, Kim Boler, Alison Connelly Visual Design by Ann Sonneville Sound Design by Mark Spence
