Eyebrow, Kolophon and Kathy Hinde Live at The Old Barn, Kelston Roundhill
In a programme of subversive sound and vision, two Bristol duos play at the Old Barn wrapped in colour and illuminating image by live video artist, Kathy Hinde.
Eyebrow perform the in part improvised looped explorations of drummer Paul Wigens, and Three Cane Whale's trumpet player, Pete Judge. With any luck this will be the launch event for their fifth album. It will certainly feature recent compositions.
"Diversely difficult to describe or pinpoint. Eyebrow are at once ambient, minimalist and rich. Wonderful." AAA Music
Formed this year, Kolophon is the vibrant, textured collaboration between French violinist Agathe Max and Modulus III's cellist Drew Morgan.
The venue is a restored Victorian threshing barn accessed by a farm track that leaves the A431 on the Bath side of Kelston village and then winds most of the way up the local landmark, Kelston Roundhill. Standing alone in fields grazed by a dairy herd, the barn commands far reaching views across the Avon valley towards Bristol and the last folds of the Cotswolds.
There's parking on site, a cash bar and food available. Doors open at 6.30 pm.
