We Five - Renton
We Five is a 1960s folk rock musical group out of San Francisco, California. Their best known hit was their 1965 recording of "You Were On My Mind". The group originated as a duo formed by Michael Stewart, brother of John Stewart of the Kingston Trio, and Jerry Burgan. The original band included Mike Stewart, Jerry Burgan, Bob Jones, Beverly Blevins, and Peter Fullerton. Debbie Graf replaced Beverly starting in 1964 and later married Jerry Burgan. Today's We Five includes originals Jerry Burgan, Debbie (Graf) Burgan joined by Chris Burgan (son of Jerry and Debbie), Jimmy Dunn and Terry Rangno.
We Five received a Grammy nomination for "Best New Artist of 1965" and had hits with "Let's Get Together", the vocal version of "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" and the first single release of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face".
The WE FIVE Folk Rock Revival show features all of their best known songs, along with tributes to many of their folk and rock contemporaries. It is a totally entertaining experience that is guaranteed to trigger fond memories and create new ones!
Opening for We Five is Three Together. A folk group from Portland featuring award winning fingerstyle guitarist Doug Smith, flutist Judy Koch and Don Mitchell.
Together the two bands will perform a brilliant mix of hit songs from the 1960s.
