Chamber Orchestra Ogdens first concert of the 2017-2018 season will feature pianist Vedrana Subotic performing Beethovens Piano Concerto No. 4 in G, Opus 58.
A native of the former Yugoslavia, Vedrana Subotic came to the United States after winning the top prize in its national piano competition. Vedrana is an Associate Professor of piano at the University of Utah, and President of the Intermezzo Chamber Music series. She holds five performance degrees including a DMA from Indiana University, where she studied with legendary pianist Menahem Pressler of the Beaux Arts Trio.
The concert will open with Beethovens Leonore Overture No. 3, Opus 72b, followed by Bizets Carmen Suite No. 1, and finishing with the piano concerto.
