Concert #3 The Toronto Consort

The Toronto Consort, Canadas leading virtuosi of English Renaissance music, has pored over Shakespeares works to find many magical points
where early music and the worlds greatest writer meet. With everyone from movie stars (Cate Blanchett) to rock stars (Sting) showing interest in Elizabethan England, this program opens a popular world to contemporary audiences. This fully scripted show features dances, fantasias and vocal works, performed with lute, viola da gamba, recorders, harpsichord, hurdy-gurdy,
percussion and voices.
