On Broadway, Spirtas played Mike (I Can Do That) Costa in A Chorus Line, Warren Sheffield in Meet Me In St. Louis, and Corny Collins in Hairspray. A tribute to SPIRTAS high-octane talent came in 2003 when he was cast as the stand-by for Hugh Jackman in the smash hit musical The Boy From Oz.
