Celebrate Spring | Celebrate Life
The Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, a chorus of 60 voices, and the Oratorio Orchestra offer three dramatic musical presentations that explore "The Gift of Life."
This multi-media concert combines the vocal arts with the visual arts. Artwork from local artists will be projected on a large screen, with supertitles, to enrich the musical text.
"The Gift of Life" by John Rutter a six-movement choral celebration of the living earth, of creation, and of life itself, offering a kaleidoscope of moods from contemplative and prayerful to majestic and inspirational
"Savitri" by Gustav Holst a one-act chamber opera that spins a tale of Loss and Rebirth, with guest soloists from Auriel Camerata
"The Ballad of Little Musgrave and Lady Barnard" by Benjamin Britten an Olde English tale of infidelity and the triumph of love
