Plastic China

Synopsis: Plastic trash from first world countries is a way of life for third world people whose meager existence depends on the grim recycling workshops where they live and work. But 11-year-old worker Yie-Jie and factory boss Kun are not without their dreams. She longs to go to school and he wants to give his family a better life, even as their bare hands waste recycling work takes its toll on the lives they strive to improve. In the end, their problems become our conundrum.
