Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock
Synopsis: Ripped from the headlines . . . This dramatic story tells of the 2016 native-led standoff at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota which captured worldwide attention as tens of thousands of activists from around the world descended on the scene to support the water protectors. The object of the protest was the $3.7 billion Bakken oil field pipeline, a fracking project under the Missouri River on sovereign Lakota land, and the only source of water for the reservation and 17 million downstream Americans.
