Trish Watlington, owner of The Red Door and BAR by Red Door, came into the restaurant industry with her family in 2009 and quickly found her place in the San Diego small farm community. By growing ingredients herself or buying them locally, Trish has impacted the community by focusing on the sustainability of the environment, economy and health of those dining at her restaurants. Trish also advocates for a more sustainable food system as a board member of Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center and the Berry Good Food Foundation.
Chef Jeff Rossmans love for food and people inspired him to open Terra Restaurant in 1998, which currently brings farm to table dining in the East College District of San Diego. Chef Jeffs commitment to local, sustainable agriculture and the bounty of San Diego and Riverside Counties not only shows in his cookbook From Terras Table, but also in the plates coming out of the kitchen.
