Les Délices de la Solitude
The viola da gamba, an instrument adored by Louis XIV for its uncanny ability to resemble the human voice, has enjoyed a great revival on the concert stage over the past few decades. As part of the celebrations of the 350th anniversary of F. Couperins birth, Sarasa presents a delectable program of solo works for viola da gamba and its eventual usurper, the Baroque cello. Introducing the profound Japanese gambist, Reiko Ichise.
