Russell Joslin album launch - Hey Mathematician
London based singer-songwriter Russell Joslin launches his 4th studio album Hey Mathematician with an intimate show at Dalstons Servant Jazz Quarters. After touring mainland Europe extensively for the past 3 years this is a rare homecoming gig to showcase both the new albums songs and the now fully road-tested duet between Russell and his Australian girlfriend and singing partner Sarah McCaig. Expect strong and confrontational songs, dark and intriguing harmonies and a spontaneous stage presence from this duet.
Russell Joslin quotes:
'...living proof of how fresh, vigorous and abrasive an acoustic songwriter can and should be in the 21st Century' - BBC 6music
He reframes folk's storytelling tradition and brings it kicking and screaming into the 21st century - Clickmusic.com
Explosive, hard hitting folk a much-needed gust of fresh air into the British folk scene - Subba-cultcha.com
Acerbic Irish singer-songwriter and rising star of the London folk scene Louis Brennan will open the night and legendary DJ's Bonanza & Son will be spinning 'Cosmic Country, Avant-Americana & other sounds of the universe' in the breaks.
