Carlos Cascante is a native of Costa Rica. He moved to the US in 1995 and started his professional musical career in 2005 when he and Musical Director, Julio Jauregui, formed a six piece group under the name of Carlos Cascante Y Su Tumbao. After the release of his first Album Recuerdos in 2005 Carlos followed with a second album titled Hablando Enserio in 2011.
Some of his most recent collaborations include the 2006 9 Dias De Rumba album that was produced by Colombian percussionist, Diego Gale, and released by US group Latin Expression; Followed by his participation with San Franciscos own Pacific Mambo Orchestra 2012 album and Costa Rican, Ramses Arayas Timbaleo new release, Exitos De Joan Sebastian, in 2013.
Besides working as a musician, Carlos Cascante has worked as a vocal tutor for Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle WA, and a vocal instructor for the Yakima Community College for the past few years.
Carlos Cascante has been an active member of SHO since 2011 and had the privilege of recording on their most recent album Viva La TradiciĆ²n.
Even though Carlos Cascante has played with and next to several well-known Latin artists, he is regarded as one of the new and upcoming talents. His versatile vocal style and his song writing abilities make him a perfect fit for this high powered salsa orchestra.
Joining Carlos will be Julio Jauregui on Piano, Dean Schmidt on Bass & Jeff "Bongo" Busch on Drums & Percussion. There will likely be a number of other guests performing with these Wonderful musicians, for an evening of Spectacular Latin Dance Music.
