With more than 2,000 cans and over 650 bottles of beer consumed onstage, Shit-Faced Shakespeare has racked up impressive numbers. Ripping a page out of the ingeniously sloppy series Drunk History, the theater troupe behind Shit-Faced Shakespeare inserts an entirely inebriated cast member into an entirely serious production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Laugh-out-loud funny and completely interactive, the series has been selling out shows in the UK since 2010 and has finally made its way stateside. With a different drunk actor each night, no two performances are ever the same. And lest you think it disrespectful, it's all based on the good 'oledays of the raucous, interactive and vibrant Elizabethan theater scene. The most fun, bawdy Shakespeare play you'll ever see happens at Bryant-Lake Bowl.
