Sparkle Network Presents #Mom Would Be So Proud..Comedy Legends & Newcomers benefit for Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund
Sparkle Network presents:
#MomWouldBeSoProud...Comedy Legends & Newcomers to benefit Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund
The Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund has been started because there are families struggling out there to get respite care/medical assistance for their loved ones and through laughter bring light to making this happen for some families in our community.
This show is for 18 and older please.
We have an incredible line-up for this great cause..
Our lovely lady Moe Lietz will be hosting and MC to this group. Her Irish sarcastic wit and sometimes those darn bubbles that should appear over your head seem to escape through her mouth..just warning.
Our special Guest Paige Perry. Believe it or not this Ann Arbor native was a nationally ranked bodybuilder in a former life. This lover and student of comedy may be small but she packs a punch you won't forget. She has appeared all over Metro Detroit in such spots as the Comedy Castle, Big Tommys, Joeys, Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase and Laff Trax.
Next up on the line-up: Billy Ray Bauer
Billy Ray has been performing standup comedy across America for the last 25 years. From headlining at great comedy clubs to performing for large corporations, he's established himself as a tried and true funny guy. From skewed descriptions of growing up in Detroit in the sixties, to the gory details of raising four boys in the new millennium, Billy Ray will leave you laughing and exhausted from his ordeal. Add to the mix some unusual vocal acrobatics including impressions and dialects, and you have an idea of an evening with Billy Ray. Billy Ray has been a repeat guest on the Bob and Tom Show heard across America. Hes also been heard on the Dick Purtan radio show in Detroit and cohosted the Appliance Doctor Radio program on WXYT for three years. He's also appeared on Comedy Central and Night Shift, the long running Indiana cable TV show and, Just for Laughs on Canadian TV.
Billy Rays jokes have appeared in Readers Digest and one was among their top 50 jokes for 2005. Billy Ray has appeared with Drew Carey, Tim Allen, The Smothers Brothers, Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope and many other great comedians!
Rounding out our line-up: Chili Challis
A veteran of the comedy scene, Chili has seen it all. He is known for writing for local TV projects such as the new "Ann Arbor Tonight" and also for writing for the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno". He appeared on the "The Bob & Tom Show" several times. Chili wrote for the national newspaper comic strip "Mother Goose & Grimm". Throw in some TV appearances on "Comedy on the Road", "Made In America" and "Comedy Club All-Stars" to round it all out. He continues to perform at various venues, private shows and run his own tour the "DamnFunnyTour". He is also a teacher/mentor, who runs one day workshops (Comedy Dojo & The Comedy Arts Center) where he coaches and mentors stand up comedians. Chili still does write jokes for a living among all his other activities and appearances.
Chili has worked with many great comedians and we are thrilled to have him join us for this special event.
This is one fantastic line-up which no one should miss!!
