Short Form Fun: Tier 1 Advanced Improv Class with Laura Patrick
September 11 to October 30, 8 Mondays
7:00-9:00pm at The Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St., Northampton
Fee: $200
PREREQUISITE: Completion of Zen of Improv 4
You've learned so much about longform improvisation, how about diving feet- and heart-first into short form improvisation? It's so much fun! In this Advanced Improv class, we explore a huge variety of short form "games" from a variety of angles: What's the mindset for performing short form? How can you maintain honest scenework in gibberish? How can a large arsenal of short form games benefit your longform scenework? How can we perform these games artfully? In addition to learning a whole slew of games, we practice them and explore "tricks" for performing them adeptly. Prepare to add significantly to your repertoire of short form improv games in this class. And prepare to laugh your ass off!
