The Huntress and Holder of Hands - CD Release Event! (w/EDT)

The Huntress and Holder of Hands is a continuation of the story that began with the eclectic Americana band Brown Bird. The success of this Warren,RI-based duo - comprised of MorganEve Swain and David Lamb - was tragically halted when Lamb succumbed to leukemia in 2014. Only a few months after losing her band mate and husband, Swain began writing music, transforming her grief into song. This work has developed into a new project and five-piece band - the Huntress and Holder of Hands. Displaying heavy, genre-defying arrangements for 5-string viola, guitar, bass, cello, upright string bass, drums, and even ukelele, the band's first album, Avalon (released the day of the performance), honors the legacy of Brown Bird while establishing its own beautifully complex personality and perspective.

Providence-based EDT (Emily Dix Thomas of The Huntress and Holder of Hands) will open the show with her beautiful blend of plucked cello and airy vocals.

This show is part of the Warren Sessions presented by Common Fence Music at Hope & Main in Warren, RI. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. This show is BYOB; Hope & Main vendors will sell other refreshments at the event.
