Close observation, both on and off the page, is a key tool to crafting intentional writing. In this class, well discuss the concept of noticing, practices of noticing in our daily lives, and how these practices can influence our poetry. Well read and discuss selected prose excerpts and poems, and also compose through generative exercises individually and as a group. Writers of other genres and visual artists are encouraged to attend!
About the Instructor: Eleanor Eichenbaum is a writer with an interdisciplinary composing practice. She holds a two graduate degrees; in Architectural Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and in Literature from the University of South Florida, Saint Petersburg.
