Half + Half Dinner/Aftermath Happy Hour
Better Half will host a unique Half + Half dinner on Thursday, August 10. The inspiration for the dinners concept comes from the two featured chefs, Better Halfs Chef Sean Allen and Spencer Bennett, formerly of Contra in NYC. The two used to work and are reuniting for one night at Better Half. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring select Better Half cocktails and canapes at 7:00 p.m. Following the cocktail reception, guests will sit down at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a six-course collaborative chef dinner complete with wine pairings. Menu Cocktails + Canapes Young Mustard Greens, charred scallion, shredded kale, collards green goddess, country ham (Allen) Diver Scallop Crudo, peach, mint, shaved radish, dashi (Bennett) Roasted Tilefish, heirloom tomato, sweet corn sabayon, corn vinegar, nasturtium (Bennett) Griddled Duck Breast, chanterelle, braised cabbage, pistachio milk, sorrel (Bennett) Blackberry + Roasted Onion Cobbler, sweet grass dairy green hill ice cream (Allen) Guava Galette, creme fraiche ice cream (Allen) Tickets for the evening are $100 per diner and include tax an gratuity. For those in the industry who cannot make the dinner, Better Half is also hosting a Half + Half Aftermath. This industry oriented happy hour will feature all you care to drink batched cocktails, imperial beer and a selection of Better Half snacks for $30. Come hang out with the cooks!
