Bark House Concert / Roots Hoot 2017-18 season kickoff!
Roots Hoot House Concerts kicks off its 17th season in garage rock & roll style with Knoxville-based band Bark. Bark is the alt-duo of husband/wife Tim Lee (Bass VI, Vox) and Susan Bauer Lee (Drums, Vox), both formerly of the Tim Lee 3 who played our series back in 2015. Bark released its debut self-titled EP in 2015 and will release a full-length LP in Fall 2017. Here's what the Knoxville Mercury had so say about Bark:
"... a lo-fi post-punk garage-rock combo inspired by American blues and roots revisionists like the Cramps, the Gun Club, and R.L. Burnside ...."
We call that irresistible , not to mention pretty ass-shaking. Come hang and see for yourself right here in the heart of the Rocky Brook section of Peace Dale as Bark raises the roof on the evening of Saturday, September 30! Doors are at 7 pm and show time at 7:30. Don't miss out! This is a BYOB/potluck show which means terrific food to go with an evening of great music. Sounds like win-win to us.
