Taste & Tour of Eckert's Farm sponsored by Les Dames d'Escoffier St Louis

Join Les Dames d'Escoffier St Louis, Angie Eckert and Lana Shepek for a tour and taste of Eckert's Farm in Belleville, IL! Seven generations of Eckerts have been growing a variety of crops over the years. Today, Eckert's grows strawberries,, peaches, apples, blackberries, pumpkins and a wide assortment of veggies.
On the farm tour, we'll get an up close look at some of the new horticultural methods of growning high density apples and blackberries on rotating arm trellises. Back in the cooking classroom we'll taste recipes featuring produce fresh from the farm. Lana and Angie will share produce prep tips along with stories about Eckert's.
