Little Johnny Jones Musical
Join us for this early 19th century romp! Johnny Jones is a famous jockey who races in the English Derby only to be accused of losing the race on purpose when he jumps off his horse to save his lady love, Goldie Gates, from the nasty villian, Anthony Antsy. Full of comedy and vaudeville-style scenes as well as ragtime style music, this adaptation was written in 2015 by Sue Heale and Joshua Sibley. The show features 10 original Cohan pieces, including Give My Regards To Broadway and I'm A Yankee Doodle Dandy as well as 12 original compositions written by the adapters.
Shows are August 11th and 12th at 7 p.m. each night at Lake Washington High School. The Kirkland Academy of Music and Performance is a non-profit organization.
