About this workshop: In this workshop, photographer and career-planning instructor Ira Gardner provides an overview of business models to help you achieve your career goals as an artist. You'll learn what business model works for your practice, how to read and understand financial statements, and how to set and reach income goals.
Topics covered include: Understanding financial statements Setting sales goals Pricing How to diversify your product mix Students will leave with their own financial planning spreadsheet
About the instructor: Ira Gardner has been a full-time professional photographer since 1989 and has been teaching career planning and portfolio development for photographers for 19 years at Spokane Falls Community College. From 1994 to 2005 Ira worked with photographers and graphic designers all over the country as a business management software developer and consultant. He is currently a member of the Richmond Artist Collective.
CANCELLATIONS & CREDIT POLICY
Artist Trust reserves the right to cancel any program. If cancelled, a full refund will be applied. If a participant needs to cancel for a paid program, the following policy will apply:
A full refund can be issued through Brown Paper Tickets if notified 5 days prior to the program date.
A transfer credit of equal or lesser value can be issued (through Artist Trust) if notified within 48 hours of program. Credit will be valid for up to 12 months.
Artist Trust cannot provide refunds for missed classes. Please contact the coordinator if you have any questions regarding specific content of the workshop.
These refund policies are in place because workshops have limited space and this is intended to ensure we are able to offer the space to another attendee if notice is provided far enough in advance.
