A true story of murder, injustice and disorder in Mississippi following the Civil War, based on the short story "The Outlaw, the Sheriff, and the Governor" by Robert E. Jones. Joe Loftin is accused of killing his brother in Lawrence County, Mississippi and it's up to Sheriff Dan Lee to bring him to justice in this Western film set in the South.
