Cirque de Bohème was recreated in 2008 by French native and artist, Michel Michelis, after the success of his collaborative project with the Red Moon Cabaret company. Cirque de Bohème quickly established itself as a premiere French-American circus with its unique approach to performance, inspiring storytelling, and innovative old style circus sets staging.Cirque de Bohème, although inspired by old 1900s century French circus, finds its roots in the Parisian circus tradition and its heart in the stories of Bohemian ingenuity. The shows, rooted in realism, display a raw quality rarely found in modern circus that makes their message timeless and relevant. The stories are wrapped in circus acrobatics, mysterious wonders and a bit of clowning around.
An old-style circus show based on the French tradition of the 1920's, Cirque de Bohème will transport you into a magical world filled with enchantment, adventure and wonder. This is an original spectacle with poetry, music, mystery and amazing circus talents. Delight in the work of world class performers including a Unicycle Tight Rope, Contortionist, Cube Aerialist, Static Trapeze duet, Chinese Pole, Silk Aerialist, Mime, Square Hoop Aerialist and more.

Cirque de Bohème is an intimate gathering limited to 140 guests per show under their charming old fashioned tent.This year Cirque de Bohème presents a new show with a new story, "Freedom", presented by a new amazing cast of characters. Ticket refunds or changes are allowed up to 5 days prior to the show.
If you are not at the circus door 10 minutes before the show, the director of the circus will take the possibility to resale your tickets. And also no one with tickets can be admitted inside the tent if the show already start, for the safety of our artists.
NOTE: Door opens 30 minutes before the performance start time. Door director will check in guests up unit 10 minutes before the performance start time. *** IF YOU HAVE NOT CHECKED IN BY 10 MINUTES BEFORE SHOW TIME, YOU RISK FORFEITING YOUR TICKET AND SEAT. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN. *** We begin offering unclaimed seats to wait list guests exactly 10 minutes before show time.

While the show is definitely family oriented, we have found through experience that children under four or five sometimes have issues with the dark interior and / or loud sounds that are part of our performance. And, unfortunately, it is not as simple as just leaving if the toddler becomes restless. Because of the inherent difficulty and danger of many of our acts (aerialists, tight rope etc.), distraction from the audience is a critical safety concern.
Our venue is intimate and dark. Opening the tent door in the middle of the performance let's in light and is a big concern of ours. Therefor, we do our best to avoid it.
In the end, you know your child better than anyone and it is up to your judgement.
This show is not appropriate for baby.

The 'high chair' selection are bar height chairs along the back/side wall of the tent. Because they are above the general adult seating, you have a clearer view. |
