Hemp for Victory Campaign to Benefit The Growing Warriors Project
On August 2, 2017 we will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the the WWII Hemp for Victory Campaign to support The Growing Warriors Project. It is the inaugural event of a national campaign to support American Hemp Farmers, end the prohibition of industrial hemp cultivation under federal law & return this crop of our Founding Fathers back to its rightful place: American farms.
The benefit infused dinner created by celebrated chef, Scott Durrah is a limited seating dinner and an after cocktail reception with a very special performance to be announced. The event will take place at Cinematic Pictures Group at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. 90028.
Honorees include hemp advocates: Dr. John Boyd, Jr., Founder, National Black Farmers Association, Millennial activist Micah Nelson, Heather Barnes-Jackson, CEO of The Realm of Caring, Wanda James, managing partner of Cannabis Global Initiative and Kara Boyd, Founder, Association of American Indian Farmers.
Please join us for this amazing night of dinner and cocktail reception to follow with special live performances by double Grammy winning producer and radio personality DJ Native Wayne. Internationally acclaimed singer and former Wailers singer Elan Atias to follow at the cocktail after party. Emmy nominated Ahmed Ahmed and innovative, sought after performer Steve Byrne providing comedy throughout the night.
