Comedy with Lonnie Bruhn
With over twenty-three years of experience, the praise Mr. Bruhn receives comes with good reason. His radical comedy, coupled with his heart-felt devotion to honesty and his commendable stance against judgmental attitudes are descriptions of his character that barely scratch the surface of his show.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, Bruhn understood early on what it was like to be different and judged. However, he isn't like any comedian with a disability riffing cute hack jokes about his ailments. Instead it is his honest and candid approach to all aspects of life that he chooses to share with his audiences.
Lonnie shows to all of us that he's not crippled, the world is. When he takes the stage, a special connection happens with him and his audience, and this spark literally bursts through his edgy material and routines; allowing him the opportunity to say just what is on his mind without offending the people he performs to.
His audience roars with laughter and wonders what this man could possibly think of next as he offers relentlessly truthful commentary on societal taboos, sexuality and an extensive spectrum of topics handled with an unmatched, fierce candor that is purely his own.
