In Concert: Rabbi Menachem Creditor & The Way Praise Team
The first of five monthly Sunday concerts that make up the 4th Netivot Shalom Music Festival. Rabbi Menachem Creditor is the spiritual leader at Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley. Within, Rabbi Creditor's first solo album, features four original songs by Creditor and the debut recording of "V'asu," a song that the late composer Debbie Friedman wrote for the 2005 dedication of the synagogue Netivot Shalom in Berkeley. The overarching theme of this folk-influenced album is the Jewish teaching that a relationship with God begins by looking someone else in the eye.
The Way Praise Team is a talented gospel choir based at The Way Christian Center, located on the same block as Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley, and is led by Pastor Michael McBride.
Proceeds from this concert will benefit Congregation Netivot Shalom.
