oaklanDrive dance company 2008 Repertory Show
oaklanDrive is proud to present their highly anticipated premiere repertory show at Velocity Main Space Theatre. Following various successful and intriguing performances throughout Seattle and Tacoma oaklanDrive will premiere two new works by the artistic directors, Jill Leversee and Marlo Martin, as well as feature The SIMON Project and Staring at the Back of the Fence, two rep works that have become audience favorites. The company has performed at High Wire (Seattle U), 12 MM (On the Boards), takePAUSE (eXit SPACE), Charging Rhinos (NWDS), MOVE (MLK Ballet), The Bridge Project (Velocity Dance Center), and The Velocity Benefit (Pravda Studio).
oaklanDrive's artistic directors Jill Leversee and Marlo Martin are a dynamic and energetic duo. Each choreographer approaches art from different perspectives. Marlo's movement by design is angular, precise and physically vigorous; Jill's choreography is honest in its openness, fluidity, and patience. Together their styles and visions complement one another effortlessly. Both believe in the power of art as a medium to raise awareness and inspire change and have vowed to push forward as individual artists and as collaborators to create cutting edge modern dance projects.
