Americana Night with The Sam Chase and the Untraditional and The Real Sarahs
The Anderson valley Solar Grange has a long legacy of community gatherings for the purpose of celebration. commemoration, and commiseration. Chances are this night will give a little taste of all of those things. This night is about embracing the moment, embracing the music and living life to the fullest. Come enjoy our 'Americana Night' with some of the best regional talent to appear at this year's Kate Wolf Music Festival.
The Sam Chase has a voice like a Nun on the lam with a mouthful cigarettes and curse words in a lonely bar, drunkenly dancing next to a broken jukebox. His songs are scribbled, not written, on lipstick and sweat stained motel bedsheets because he likes the way the ink bleeds. His guitar runs on diesel and leaks like the morning after too much Whiskey. His is a show you'll probably want to tattoo on your body so everyone will know that you knew him before he was cool.
With organic harmonies that enchant and uplift the spirit, The Real Sarahs share their special gift of vocal synergy. This trio of women, who are all named Sarah, enjoy the magic that is created by voices in harmony, acoustic instruments, and the energetic connection between artists and audience. Embracing many genres of music, you are likely to hear threads of folk, jazz, blues, and country running through their songs. Singing from the stories of their own life journeys and experiences, their original music is honest, evocative and heartfelt.
