Totally Thames: Hammersmith Archaeological Foreshore Walk
Join this archaeological walk with Dr Fiona Haughey in Hammersmith to discover the importance of the foreshore and the river walls for the continued survival of the Thames complex wildlife.
Explore the river walls for evidence of the area's changing waterfront. Since the 19th century, Hammersmith has been home to a distillery, sugar refinery, lamp factory and water pump factory as well as connections with the African slave trade, we'll look for evidence that tells us about these Victorian industries on the river bank and the people who worked and lived there.
There is so much to discover and learn along Londons foreshores, so why not join one of our many foreshore walks with leading experts on hand across London!
