Alvin Zhu
Alvin Zhu is continuing his grandfather's genetic legacy as a great performing pianist. In the short time since his recognition as a Young Steinway Artist in 2009, his talent and maturity have further blossomed. He has performed internationally to consistent acclaim while continuing studies at Julliard. Zhu loves the music he plays and creates a bond with his audience as his sensitive touch reveals the composers' emotions. The performance includes Beethoven's Sonata No. 11, Op. 22, Ballade No. 3, Op. 47 by Chopin, an Hommage à Fauré by Robert Helps, plus pieces by Schumann and Ravel. Valse Fantasie Op. 3 by Mr. Zhu will complete the evening.
