Rodgers & Hammerstein's ALLEGRO: Musical In-Concert
Monday, April 16, 2018 | 7:30 PM The Breen Center for Performing Arts
Think back to the moment when you knew for certain that you had grown up. It takes Joseph Taylor, Jr.the soul-searching main character in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Allegrountil he is 35 to get there. "Allegro" is a musical term meaning "lively," and it's a good word to describe his journey: one that leads Joe from his birth in small-town America to the big city and back again to his roots. This 1947 show is rarely performed, but in 2016 it was revived with great success in London. If you're a fan of Rodgers & Hammerstein, you won't want to miss their trailblazing musical playthe team's third Broadway collaboration following Oklahoma!andCarousel.
