Sweep The Leg! A Karate Kid Musical Parody

This jukebox style musical tells the story of Daniel, as he moves from New Jersey to Southern California with his mother, Lucille. He meets the lovely Ali, but quickly finds himself the target of Ali's ex-boyfriend, Johnny and the Cobra Kai. The Cobra Kai study karate at the Cobra Kai dojo under Sensei Kreese, who instructs his faithful students to take No Mercy on the new kid in town. Fortunately, Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi, an unassuming repairman who just happens to be a martial arts master himself. Miyagi takes Daniel under his wing, training him in an unusual form of karate. Daniel and the Cobra Kai compete at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament for honor and to determine once and for all who is The Karate Kid.

Sweep The Leg! is directed by Meghann Trause, vocal direction by Rindy Gradford, choreographed by Geoff Wishart, and runs Th-Sun September 14-24 at Mister Theatre.
