cineSPEAK's BACKYARD CINEMA CLUB - JULY 2017 - BROOKLYN BOHEME
cineSPEAK is excited to present a multi-faceted community film series entitled Boycott The Oscars -- on race, honoring culture + being good neighbors. This time around, we've added a smaller group series to create space for making friends + centering the themes explored in the larger more public screenings.

About: Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Branford Marsalis, Rosie Perez and others discuss the black arts movement that exploded in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, from the mid-1980s through the '90s.

Your donation helps cover the cost of each gathering + will assist in funding our new BTO YOUTH CREW initiative based out of our local rec center. High school aged youth from our neighborhood will be learning + earning. First, students will be trained in media literacy, digital storytelling + event production.
