B-Side Social with Abigail Flowers
The Nashville Jazz Workshop continues it's new summer series, the B-Side Social, Friday, July 14th at 7pm. We'll push back the tables for this fun, informal gathering featuring vocalist Abigail Flowers.
Come hang out at the Jazz Cave for these B-Side Social events. Once a month NJW will feature up and coming artists in Nashville's continually growing jazz scene. With a lower ticket price -- $12 advance, $15 at the door -- and open seating, it makes for a great Friday night.
As with all events, NJW is always BYOB and BYOF.
Abigail Flowers is a versatile vocalist with a passion for great melodies. Since picking up her first ukulele in 2011, she has been combining her smooth vocal tone with the instrument's simple sound to produce an intimate and emotional musical experience. Despite having sung in vocal jazz groups for years, it wasn't until 2015 that Abigail fell in love with the Great American Songbook and began studying great vocal improvisers like Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker. Her live performances now blend classic jazz vocal stylings with her own unique tone and perspective. Joining Abigail will be Will Padgett on piano, Chris Leidhecker on drums, Calvin Knowles on bass, RJ Bracchitta on guitar and some surprise guests.
