Featuring:
STEPHANE WREMBEL
Hes been called a revelation by Rolling Stone. Woody Allen recruited him to score the theme to the 2012 Academy Award winning film Midnight in Paris, and he performed live during last years Oscars telecast. To say that French-born guitarist/composer Stephane Wrembelwho learned his craft among the Gypsies at campsites in the French countrysidehas already had a remarkable career would be an understatement. But this virtuoso, who is now Brooklyn-based, has truly just begun to make his mark as one of the most original guitar voices in contemporary music.

RHYTHM FUTURE QUARTET W/ SPECIAL GUESTS
The acoustic jazz ensemble, Rhythm Future Quartet has a straightforward agenda: to keep the spirit of Gypsy jazz alive and expanding in todays musical universe. The virtuosic foursome, named for a Django Reinhardt tune, offers up a newly minted sound, influenced by the classic Hot Club of France, yet wholly contemporary. Led by violinist Jason Anick and guitarist Olli Soikkeli, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw upon diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. With Max ORourke on second guitar and Greg Loughman on bass, Rhythm Future is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of a vital musical genre.

SPECIAL GUESTS :
Matt DeChamplain (Piano)
Sam Dechenne (Trumpet)

DAISY CASTRO QUARTET
An outstanding interpreter of early European Jazz of the 1930s and 40s, in the style of Django Reinhardts Quintette du Hot Club de France, Daisy Castro has emerged as a revitalizing force for the genre, stunning first time audience members, and continuing to enthrall even those that have seen her perform many times before. Her dynamic playing channels some of the early greats, while adding a modern edge to the Jazz Manouche tradition. If you close your eyes, youll find it hard to believe that such passion can be produced by a musician so young. It will make you believe in reincarnation, and give you a fresh view on what lies ahead in the progression of Djangos legacy. Daisy has been an active member of the Gypsy Jazz community both in the United States and in Europe since she was 14 years old. She has played on stages on both continents with all of the masters. Now, with three recordings rooted in this style under her belt, she has earned the respect of said masters and their knowledgeable audiences, which is no small feat in this traditionally male dominated genre. Daisy is touring to promote her newest project, World On Fire, which reaches even further around the globe for its influences. Encompassing everything from Django compositions to Salsa to traditional Turkish music, it opens up a whole new world of exploration for her quartet.

HENRY ACKER TRIO
Henry Acker is a thirteen year old gypsy jazz guitarist in the style of Django Reinhardt and with abilities far beyond his years. After playing for only four years, he has already shared the stage with jazz greats Bucky Pizzarelli, Frank Vignola, Julian Lage, Andreas Oberg, Vinny Raniolo, Olli Soikkeli, Nicki Parrot, Jan Knutson, Grant Flick and Jason Anick. He is the winner of both the 2017 Djangofest North West Saga Award and a 2017 Downbeat Magazine Student Award for jazz guitar soloist. He performs exhilarating gypsy jazz repertoire and jazz standards along with his father Victor Acker, a Berklee alum and jazz guitarist and his Uncle Dana Acker on double bass, also a Berklee Alum. Henry's career is just getting started but he must be seen to be believed. Ladies and gentleman, presenting Henry Acker!
