Improvox & Meteora

ImproVox is a Maine-based a cappella quintet performing a mix of jazz, newfolk, Americana, original songs, and world music spiked with edgy improvisations and lush harmonies. The quintet (Deb Hensley, Kathy Slack, Matt Loosigian, Martin Swinger & Fred White) also performs totally out-of-the-box, extemporaneous movements of music creating a satisfying musical experience full of mirth, heart and soul. www.improvox.com

Meteora is Will Brown of Lincolnville, and Kat Logan and Jim Loney of Friendship. This trio of venerable musicians performs a thoroughly enjoyable, eclectic, and heart-warming selection of original songs and folk ballads including traditional and original arrangements with rich harmonies and a flotilla of acoustic instruments. Meteora (translated from Greek meaning "suspended in air") leaves no musical stone unturned.
