10 Hairy Legs New Brunswick Debut
10 Hairy Legs will make its hometown World Debut in New Brunswick, New Jersey at Crossroads Theatre.  This will be our first public appearance in New Brunswick during our World Premiere season.  The performance will be the only one there this season and will include a World Premiere by James.

The program includes:

"Rook" - a solo for one of our most accomplished company members, Nick Sciscione, featuring live music by Composer Robert Maggio from his work "Seven Mad Gods," performed by a quartet comprised of violin, cello, percussion, piano.  It is a World Premiere by Randy James.

"Endured Lull" - (1992) A major revival of a duet by James, originally created for the premiere of James' former company Randy James Dance Works. Guest artist Aaron Ramos will appear with company member Carlos Antonio Villanueva.

"Interview" -  New Jersey Spoken Word/Dance Artist Claire Porter's solo Porter's work has been called,  "A tour de force.  Enchanting.  Her comedic timing is masterful." - Phyllis Goldman, Backstage.  Featuring Guest Artist Tony Bordonaro who is now featured in the off-Broadway hit "Sleep No More."

"The Day After Jesus Was Born" - (2012).  Commissioned by Roxey Ballet (Lambertville) with funding by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Project Serving Artists Grant, this piece is a technical tour de force for five dancers that explores the question, "What Was Life Like the Day After Jesus was Born?" through the metaphor of boxing.  Did the world stop or did people go on with their lives as usual?

Join us after the show for a discussion with Randy James, Composer Robert Maggio and the musicians moderated by Macada Brandl, Executive Director of Dance New Jersey.  No charge but you must have a ticket to the show.
